Newly manufactured vials can carry release agents and other contaminants on both inside and outside surfaces, and storage or transport can add more. Pre-cleaned vials go through rigorous cleaning procedures and are supplied pre-assembled with caps attached.
27.25 x 57.5mm 5 dram (20ml) Clear Borosilicate Glass Vial with 24-400 Green Thermoset F217 & PTFE Lined Cap attached, Cleaned for Volatiles. Clear VOA Vials or borosilicate glass vials KaptClean® for Volatiles are designed for EPA volatile organic analysis (VOA.) Volatiles are chemicals that have high vapor pressures at room temperature (easily evaporate.) They can include benzene, chloroform, toluene and carbon tetrachloride. Vials are pre-cleaned based on OSWER (Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response) directives from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency.) All pre-cleaned containers are supplied pre-assembled with caps attached.
