10-Port Waste Collection Port Cap Manifold for GL38 Glass Solvent Bottles: Size L, Polypropylene

This 10-port, size L port cap manifold fits glass solvent bottles with a GL38 threaded closure. It has (6) Type A 1/4-28 UNF and (4) Type D 1/4" NPT ports in a chemically resistant polypropylene manifold, creating a closed system for HPLC waste collection and solvent delivery. Tubing adapters, plugs and exhaust filters are sold separately, so you can configure each port for your tubing and venting needs.

Designed for GL38 Glass Solvent Bottles

The GL38 glass thread is commonly used on 4-liter glass solvent bottles from laboratory chemical manufacturers. Although GL38 glass bottle closures and 38-430 plastic bottle closures share a nominal 38 mm diameter, their thread profiles differ and they are not interchangeable. Also watch for 38-415 threads, which some suppliers now use on 4-liter bottles; although similar in appearance, they are not interchangeable with GL38.

Port Types and Tubing Adapters

Choose adapters to match each tubing size, and plug any unused ports to maintain a closed system.

Venting for Waste Collection

As waste flows into a closed container, displaced air and solvent vapor must be released safely. Fit one port with a carbon exhaust filter (sold separately) to vent displaced air while capturing solvent vapors, and plug any unused ports.

Important: Chemical compatibility depends on the solvent, concentration, temperature and all wetted components, including the polypropylene manifold, plugs and any adapters used. Aggressive solvents such as hexane, THF and methylene chloride can damage polypropylene; a PTFE manifold is recommended for these. Verify compatibility before use.
