This 4-port, size L polypropylene port cap manifold fits standard Nalgene® 70 mm carboy openings, with (4) 1/4" NPT ports and plugs for every port, for closed HPLC waste collection.

HPLC, LC-MS, FPLC and SFC instruments generate a steady stream of volatile solvent waste. Waste collection manifolds permit multiple lines of varying size and type to be connected to a single closed container, reducing solvent evaporation and exposure to hazardous vapors and helping labs keep waste lines safe and compliant.

Designed for Nalgene® 70 mm Carboys

The 70 mm buttress thread on Nalgene® rectangular laboratory carboys is designed to work with closures and fixtures compatible with Mason jar threads, such as certain Osterizer™ blender assemblies. It allows convenient filling, sampling and fluid transfer. The Nalgene® 70 mm thread is not compatible with similar 70 mm threads from other manufacturers, such as Rieke® and NOWPak®, due to differences in thread design.

Port Types and Tubing Adapters

• Type D (1/4" NPT) ports accept 1/4" NPT barbed adapters (WF-AB-1-16, WF-AB-1-8, WF-AB-3-16, WF-AB-1-4, WF-AB-5-16, WF-AB-3-8 and WF-AB-1-2)

Choose adapters based on your tubing size. A set of plugs is included to maintain a closed system when ports are not in use.

Venting

For vapor control when collecting solvent waste, attach a carbon exhaust filter with filter adapter to one port. Most of our manifolds may also be used to supply solvent to a system, but use evaporation control valves to handle air inlet or pressure relief during solvent delivery to avoid implosion or explosion.

Important: Chemical compatibility depends on the solvent, concentration, temperature and all wetted components, including the polypropylene manifold, plugs and any adapters used. Aggressive solvents such as hexane, THF and methylene chloride can damage polypropylene. Verify the compatibility of the container material separately. Verify compatibility before use.
